Last week & 3 days, of 31 items in 31 days ~

Here it is finally the last week # 3 days.  Still behind, but finally getting this on my blog site.

Week #4:

P.S. -  I use a lot of empty shoe boxes & empty Girl Scout cookie boxes to sort and store stuff in.  (One of my daughters sells G.S. cookies, so we have a lot of these boxes sitting around.  They are the cases that 12 sets of cookies come in, perfect for throwing piles of stuff in.)

S - Day #22 - Put a little boys Black & Decker workbench and tools on f.b. s & s -  SOLD $15.00

S - Day #23 - Put a set of Legos of on f.b. s & s -

M - Day #24 - Returned a shirt to Kohl's, that my son didn't need.

T - Day #25 -  Took 4 boxes of RE supplies back up to the church for storage. Yeah!

W - Day #26 - Went through this box and ordered Christmas pictures to put in the frames, now in our Christmas storage until next December. Yikes, more old xmas cards and these are from 2004.   Check it out the fun book I made with them under Joys of Scrappin'/Craftiness!

TH - Day #27 - Returned/shipped a broken viola case back to the store!  Huge box out of my house.

F - Day #28 -  Went through another box that had my It Works paperwork and supplies in it.  Put it all in the binder, nice & neat.  Recycled the empty boxes as well.  Maybe I would still be selling it, if I was orgazined with my paperwork back  then. HA!

All my paperwork thrown into the box.
Now it's all organized and neat!
Week #5:

S - Day #29 - Put all my PTA stuff away in a file cabinet.  Not sitting out on the floor anymore.  Sorted through and got rid of papers I didn't need anymore, recycled!

S - Day #30 -  Went through another set of old xmas cards, pics etc. up to 2007

M - Day #31 - Went through a box of old school papers of one my kids.  Another box cleaned out!

Another project done!

I think I bought this great project for me to do back in 2006, but not for sure how long ago at this point.

See that big yellow box, on the right hand side
of the scrapbooking table.

Here's what was left inside the box.

Did this much of it and hung up in my daughters room when we moved into our new house in 2008.  Got it painted and stuck on some cute scrapbooking flowers I had on hand.  Painting the flowers on the frame/ribbons and the words "So Cute" was not going to happen.  So much easier, putting stickers on.  I think it turned out, just as cute this way.  Just need to finish it!

Finally, got the mirror put on and the letters "So Cute" cut out with my cricut machine and decoupaged on.   . Finally finishing it now in 2014.  Check that project off the list, FINALLY!

I got this fun project through a home show based business that Hallmark started.  It was called Big Yellow Box by Crayola. Website was BigYellowBox.com.  From what I can tell it doesn't look like they offer this anymore.  It was a fun home show that you buy stuff, which you have to finish and do on your own or with your child depending on what you purchase.   Too bad it took me sooooo long to get it completely done.  Procrastination and 3 kids is the name of the game 8 years later, YIKES!

Sifting through the piles ~

RULES:
1.  Spend 20 minutes a day and de-clutter a pile.  Get some projects done in the process ~ YEAH!  If you don't get it done today, finish it tomorrow, but come back to it before moving on to the next pile.

2.  Start in one corner of the room and slowly make your way around the room until you're all done.

3. My office is a catch all room for everything.  No more, I say!  This stuff needs to find new homes & be dealt with.

March 2014 ~ Here's my 31 day
office clean up so far!

Sat., Day #1 -   Folded a tote of sheets that have been washed a couple times, just because they have been there for so long.  They are now put away in the linen closet where they belong.

Sun., Day #2 -  Emptied out another tub of Christmas wrapping paper, boxes to recycle, plastic to throw away, and a couple of presents that needed to find a home.  Soccer ball is now in the garage and Nerf items are with the other Nerf toys in my sons bedroom.

Mon., Day #3  - Got rid of another tote!  Winter gear that needed to be put back into the basement for storage.  Not in the office!  I even organized the basement storage while I was down there.  It's our storage room for holiday decorations and other seasonal stuff, I won't share pictures of that room.  Although, now it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Tues., Day #4 - Put my oldest daughters current picture in the frame, that I took down 3 months ago to do.  My husband keeps asking me if she is part of the family anymore.  HINT, HINT put a new pic in the frame and get it up on the wall. (Check out, Back in the family, under Many Joys!)

Wed., Day #5 -  Found a couple of end of year picture pages at preschool the other day.  I didn't have the heart to throw them out, so I brought them home.  Delivered to their parents today so wouldn't get lost in my office.

Thurs., Day # 6 -  Yikes, mailed out 2013 Christmas/New Year's pictures to friends and family. Found in a bag on my scrapbooking table.  Why just say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Let's say Happy Valentine's Day as well!  Don't want to add Happy St. Patty's Day to the list, so in the mail they go.  You can call this procrastination!

Fri., Day #7 - Cut and traced out the rest of my frosted window pieces.

Sat.,  Day #8 - Made my daughter deliver the rest of the Girl Scout cookie orders, that are sitting on my scrapbooking table.

Sun., Day # 9  - The Lord's Day - Go to church, a day of rest!

Mon., Day #10Taking PTA bulletin board board supplies back up to the school where they belong.  No, longer a home for that in this room.

NOW GO DEAL WITH SOME

Office Junk - Progress Report ~

Here's what I've been up to, in my very cluttered office.  Check out the area under the table.  The shelves are now dusted and I can get to them now!  As you can see, only two clear totes sit under the table.  One with my workout stuff.  The other with my binders that I will be putting my kids memorabilia school papers in.  Check it out ~

BEFORE - Yikes!
AFTER - Doesn't that look much better!
After - still more to go through on the top!

JUNK ~ Let's get busy!

It's time to get started on this glorious mess!  I said, I'd put some pictures on here of my office mess, so here they are.  I've decided instead of looking at my mess/disorganization/junk etc., whatever you want to call it.   I need to focus on ONE paper, box, area, table at a time.   I'd really like to start scrapbooking again if I can get the table cleared off from all the extra stuff it collects and find homes for everything.  Finish all the projects that are sitting on it or underneath it.    With that in mind I've been a stay-at-home mom for 13 years now.  I thought I would get tons of projects done over the years and my scrapbooking caught up.  Well I've started lots of projects but not completed most of them.  It's time to crack the whip and take care of this mess!  With you all following me on my journey, this mess and projects will finally get done!

Well maybe not find homes for everything.  After thinking this through, here is my plan.   I need to sort through each area that I decide to work on and make piles:  donate, garage sale (that's what my husband wants to do, I'd rather donate), throw away, recycle & keep (find a home for this stuff)!

I have 3 different areas I need to tackle, they are:  school papers, scrapbooking table that has lots of other stuff on it and laundry table on top/garage sale, donation, giveaway items underneath.  I have a lot of work ahead of me.

Now that I have a plan of action it's time to get busy!  I'll put more pictures on here as I sift through the piles and show you what I come up with regarding organizing some of the JUNK!

I hope this helps you out in getting started on your own JUNK room(s) in  your home.

Scrapbooking Table - where are you?
Desk with stuff all around it - what a disaster!
Laundry table - empty off each week and start fresh.
Sounds like a good plan, let's see if I can do it!
More of the laundry table and donations or garage sale stuff underneath - YIKES!
School Papers Galore!
Working on a system - Help me Pinterest!
I've seen a couple of ideas I like, so well see what happens.

New to blogging ~ Procrastinate no more!

Welcome to my blog and first post!  I decided to give this a try since I can be a procrastinator sometimes.  I love to get things done but sometimes I need to be under pressure to complete a task/job.  Hoping this gets me going on the organization side, so my office gets in ship, shape condition.  Check out the JUNK tab for more information on this topic.
